2014 Priest Ranch Coach Gun 1.5L
WINEMAKING
The fruit for our 2014 Coach Gun was handpicked, sorted, and fermented naturally, then aged for 28 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Our winemaking team refined the blend over the course of the first year of aging, and the final wine was determined just months before bottling.
HARVEST NOTES
The 2014 vintage was a classic, near-perfect growing season with warm days and cool nights. The mild summer and warm weather after verasion caused the fruit to develop with good balance, great flavors, bright acidity and mature, well-developed tannins.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2014 Coach Gun delivers scents of vanilla bean and black cherry on the nose. On the palate, there are hints of licorice, blackberry, and roasted coffee bean. The wine is rich in color and delivers velvety soft tannins on the finish.
Vineyard Notes
The historic Priest Ranch is now part of the Somerston Estate, a significant property totaling 1,682 acres, with 222 acres planted to hillside vineyards. Dramatic elevations of the vineyards define and distinguish the estate, ranging from 800 ft to 2,400 ft above sea level. In 2013, the grapes for this wine were chosen from five separate hillside blocks.
Production Notes
We only produced 56 cases of the 2014 Coach Gun magnums. These limited production large formats are a fabulous way to share this wine with friends and family.
However, if you are looking to lay down select bottles from your collection of Coach Gun, 1.5L bottles age better than a 750 ml bottle. Equivalent to two bottles, magnums are for the savvy wine collector.
